Poltergeist: Remote Control Overlay & Mod Tools

Semi-free Poltergeist: Remote Control Overlay & Mod Tools

Trigger Studio: Put Your Viewers in Control

Trigger Studio is a brand new automation panel that turns viewer activity into automatic on-screen moments. Map an event to an action and it fires by itself, with no moderator needed. Open it from the Trigger Studio button in the right sidebar, name your trigger, pick what fires it, then pick what happens on screen.
  • Fires from anything: Channel Point redemptions, Bits, Subs, Gifted Subs, Raids, or Follows. Bits and gifts can require a minimum amount, so 500 bits can do something bigger than 5.
  • Spin the Wheel: A redemption can spin one of your Prize Wheels on its own.
  • Play a Sound: Fire any clip from your Soundboard.
  • Animate an Element: Play a keyframe animation on any element you choose.
  • Shake the Screen: Subtle, Medium, or Heavy. This plays in your OBS overlay only and never disturbs your dashboard.
  • ️Pop an Image or GIF: Flash an image or GIF on the overlay at a size and duration you set.
Every trigger has a Test button so you can preview it instantly, and a small popup on your dashboard confirms each time one fires while the effect plays on your overlay.

The Starter Kit includes 1 trigger so you can try it out. The Broadcast Suite unlocks unlimited triggers.

⏱️ Timeline & Animation

  • Multi-Select Keyframes: You can now hold Shift + Drag on the animation timeline to box-select multiple keyframes at once.
  • Fixed a network sync issue that caused looped, auto-reversing animations to briefly stutter or "rubber-band" when resetting.

Moderator Limits Revamped

Moderator limits have been completely updated for expired Broadcast Suite subscriptions and 7-Day Trials. Previously, reverting to the Free tier (which has a 1-moderator limit) meant the system automatically deleted any excess moderators. This proved to be a frustrating experience.

No More Deletions

Moving forward, excess moderators are no longer deleted. Instead, they are simply placed in a locked state. A red LOCKED (PRO) badge will appear next to their names in the dashboard, temporarily pausing their access and editing abilities.

Instant Restoration

Please note that only the broadcaster is required to pay for the Broadcast Suite; moderators do not need their own subscriptions. The moment a subscription is renewed or started, all locked moderators are instantly unlocked. Their exact permissions are automatically restored, completely eliminating the need to manually re-add anyone.

Kick Chatbot Integration

Kick broadcasters can now fully utilise the Chatbot Builder!
  • Custom Commands & Timers: Build custom chat commands, set up automated looping messages, and configure mod-only triggers that reply natively in your Kick channel.
  • Chat-Driven Games: Your viewers can now interact with the Prize Wheel and Carnival Booth directly through Kick chat using commands like !spin or !throw.
The Chatbot Builder is available now for all Broadcast Suite users on Kick. Just click the "Chatbot Builder" button in the right sidebar to get started!

Twitch Auto-Clipping & Dashboard Polish

A new clip command was added to the chatbot and the custom code widget no longer shows CPU lock when going to a different tab
  • Auto-Clipping: You can now create automatic Twitch clipping commands (like !clip) directly in the Chatbot Builder! Just check the "Create Twitch Clip" box and add the {clip_url} variable to your bot's response to instantly drop the clip link in chat.
  • Custom Widget Stability: Improved the background-tab handling for Custom HTML widgets. Widgets will no longer falsely trigger the frozen-crash warning if you switch away to a different browser tab.

More Customisable Alerts, Advanced Animations & Media Share with Channel Points

The Alert Box and Animation Timeline have been significantly expanded to give your stream a massive visual upgrade. When editing your setup, you now have much finer control over exactly what triggers your alerts and how they physically move onto the screen.

For example, you can now set minimum and maximum thresholds. Want a different graphic and sound for 5 gifted subs versus 50? Just set the min/max limits on two different alert boxes, and the correct overlay will trigger automatically.

These core upgrades make it possible to build highly dynamic layouts, supported by new additions to Media Share and everyday workflow improvements.
  • Channel Point Integration: The Alert Box and Media Share now fully support Twitch Channel Points. Type in the exact name of your reward to trigger custom graphics, or let viewers queue videos by pasting a YouTube URL directly into the reward prompt.
  • Advanced Animation Physics: A new dropdown on your timeline keyframes lets you apply complex easing. Make your graphics glide smoothly, overshoot their targets, wobble elastically, or literally bounce into place.
  • Secure Media Previews: Moderators now have a handy [Watch] link in the Media Share queue, allowing them to safely preview pending videos in a new tab before approving them for the stream.
  • Faster Workflows: We’ve added an "Undo Stroke" button for the drawing tools and Mac users can now use the Backspace key to delete canvas items.
All new physics and threshold settings are completely optional, so your existing alerts and animations will continue to function exactly as they are without any extra setup.

Custom HTML, CSS & JS Widgets

You can now build and display completely custom widgets directly inside Poltergeist! When you spawn a "Custom Code" asset from the left sidebar, you will get a dedicated text editor in the properties panel where you can paste your own HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

This makes it incredibly easy to add unique visuals to your stream without needing to find an external website to host them.
  • Total Freedom: Write your own CSS animations, design custom goal bars, or paste in widget templates shared by other creators.
  • Live Data: Use standard JavaScript to pull live data from the web to build your own weather displays, crypto price tickers, or custom countdowns.
The Custom Code asset is available now under the "Spawn Assets" menu. Just drop it in, paste your code, and click "Apply & Reload".

Media Share & Video Queue

You can now let viewers share YouTube videos directly on your stream using Twitch Bits. The new Media Share asset handles queuing, playback, and moderation all in one place.
  • Bit-Driven Playback: Set your own "Bits per Second" rate and "Minimum Bits" threshold. Viewers simply add !play [YouTube Link] to their cheer message (e.g., cheer500 !play https://youtu.be/...).
  • ️Built-In Moderation: Videos drop into a pending queue on your dashboard. You or your moderators can preview the video link, approve it, deny it, or skip the currently playing media.
  • Sub & VIP Protection: An optional toggle allows you to restrict the Media Share feature exclusively to Subscribers, VIPs, and Moderators to prevent spam from unverified viewers.
  • Automated Control: Turn on "Auto-Approve" to instantly play queued videos without manual intervention. The server calculates the exact allowed duration based on the bits cheered and automatically cuts the video off when the time is up.

The Media Share asset is available now for Twitch broadcasters and can be found under the "Spawn Assets" menu in the dashboard.

Per Layer Overlay Control

The OBS link generator now includes a layer visibility selector. When you open "Get Link" from the left sidebar, you will find four checkboxes letting you pick which canvas layers are included in the overlay URL before copying it.

The result is a URL like: https://poltergeist.cc/overlay?channel=yourchannel&platform=twitch&interp=true&lerp=0.15&layer=1&layer=3

This makes it possible to run multiple Browser Sources in OBS off a single Poltergeist canvas, each showing only the layers you want.
  • ️Targeted Sources: One Browser Source for your background layers, another for your foreground. No duplicate canvases, no extra accounts.
  • Scene-Specific Overlays: Give different OBS scenes different layer combinations. A gameplay scene could show all four layers while a BRB screen only renders one.
  • No Extra Setup: The layer selection is built into the copied URL, so nothing extra needs to be configured in OBS beyond pasting the link as normal.

All four layers are checked by default when you open the modal, so existing setups will continue to work without any changes.

New Widgets: Progress Goals & Event Lists

Dynamic widgets for community tracking are now available in the Spawn Assets menu, operating completely automatically behind the scenes.
  • Live Progress Goals: Dynamic Sub, Follower, and Cheer goal bars can now be added to the canvas. These automatically connect to Twitch events and fill up in real-time. Colors, text, and starting/target numbers are fully customizable to match any channel branding.
  • Event Lists (Stream Labels): A beautifully animated, scrolling list of recent supporters (Follows, Subs, Cheers, and Raids) can now be displayed on screen. The list can be configured to display a specific number of recent events and set to scroll up or push down dynamically.

️ Performance & Quality of Life Polish

Several structural upgrades and fixes have been deployed to ensure smoother broadcasts.
  • Faster Alert Queues: The timing between back-to-back alerts (like Sub Bombs) has been significantly tightened. When an alert finishes, the next one now triggers instantly, making massive sub-trains feel much snappier without overlapping audio.
  • Backend Optimizations: Major structural upgrades have been deployed to the core engine. The server handling animations, games, and real-time events has been completely rebuilt. Overlays now use significantly less CPU and memory, ensuring streams remain perfectly smooth even with hundreds of active assets on screen.
