Audio from MacOS Audio Capture and MacOS screen capture major issue!

The audio from either MacOS Audio Capture or MacOS screen capture keeps stopping coming through after a few minutes. This happened using FL Studio and using Ableton Live, very light sessions, so it's not connected to the app used as audio source. It's definitely an issue with the latest OBS versions. I didn't have that problem when using version 31.1.2.
So why is the sound constantly cutting out??

Configuration :
Mac pro M1
MacOS 13.7.8
OBS 32.1.2

same thing here. Display capture with Ableton live sessions is not sending audio after only a short amount of time. It will receive audio for a while, and then just stop. I'm trying to live stream music production sessions, and it's just not picking up ableton audio after a while.

Are you also using an audio interface for a microphone and is your FL studio going out to that interface? That's how I do it. I am thinking it's possible that Ableton or FL in your case might be unable to be picked up from display/application capture channel while also sending audio to an interface. I am going to try sending Ableton live audio somewhere else like my speakers on my computer and then muting them, and then maybe picking up the audio in OBS through a separate audio channel.

I'll let you know if that works.

Hi, no the DAW is not sending audio to an audio interface, just internal speakers. I believe it's just OBS being buggy because I tried with an older version (31.1.2) and I didn't have any audio dropout... It's crazy that nobody would be able to answer this question on here. Isn't there any developer who worked on OBS who can chime in??

ayo the solution I found is to install the BLACKHOLE audio loopback application. It's free and all it does is create an additional output option in your daw called BLACKHOLE 2CH which you can also have as an input in to your OBS.

The only issue here is you will need to monitor your DAW via OBS. so I have my OBS audio output set to my interface and headphones as normal but I have to enable audio monitoring on the BLACKHOLE 2CH channel.

The issue is actually the audio drivers, ANY amount of CPU spike or audio drop out from your computer will cause OBS to temporarily lose connection to the audio channel of your screen recording, which then requires manual reconnection and another drop out is sure to follow.

Blackhole is your best bet, took me about one minute to install and set up!
